quik question on covering DD

Well I am about finished with my DD. All I have left is to cover the wing tips red. I am covering it like the box shows, red, white ,and blue. I been using Ultracoat on the entire plane so far but found that I have no idea where I put my red at. I do have some red but it is Topflight red. I know the directions indicate to use only Ultracoat for the durability. But I am dying to get it in the air and thinking of using regular covering for wing tips (top only)

Just looking for an opinion if I should go ahead and cover it and test fly it for time being. So I can fly tomorrow then later remove it and use the Ultracoat on Monday when hobby shop open. My concern is will the regular TopFlight covering hold up? I am just a bit paranoid about it coming off in air at WOT. What y'all think?

quik question on covering DD

i've done all mine in Solarfilm. i've taped all the edges, but the bottom middle section blew off after the edge lifted by the engine. i since recovered in Solartex in the middle bottom only to avoid this.
the type of film they use does give a nice sound tho ;)
its all about getting small holes. if you see any hole tape it up before you fly, i have about 6-8 holes on top now. mostly getting it in and out of the house.
