ARE THERE ANY "TRAINER" PROP JETS ? ? ?
 

I HAVE BEEN FLYING FOR ABOUT TWO YEARS NOW AND I WOULD LIKE TO GET INTO SOMETHING FASTER! ANY RECOMENDATIONS WOULD BE WELCOME.SOMETHING FAST YET STABLE THAT WILL WORK GOOD ON A GRASS FIELD IN A .40-.46 SIZE.

Sounds like the ole Viper or Predator ARf with a TT Pro-46 would be a good bet-

I started out with an avistar w/ os .46ax. I have flown too many foamies to list.my two favorites are the 20 inch wing(scram-blur) from sylvan aircraft and a stryker with an astro 020/apc 5x5 prop on a kokam 3-cell 2000mah.some tower/hobbico arfs like the uproar and twinstar.

As Razor noted, an excellent way into the speed stuff is to start with a Q-500 type aircraft. Very stable, wide speed range, and you can use just about any engine you have currently up on the nose. A typical Predator or Viper (or one of the several kits available) with a thunder tiger or OS 46 os the nose, 9x7 prop will fly up in the 120 mph range. The good thing here, is the do not NEED all the power, and you have a throttle. Between the stability and the speed range, they are a great choice.

For other good sport-jet type planes, look at some of the pattern birds, Sig Kogar, King Kobra, and even the Patriot will be no problem if you have a some sport flying time under your belt :)

Patriot will work or the Kangke F20. But they don't glide at all, so keep the power up a bit until right before touchdown

My vote is also for Patriot or F20 Tigershark. Both look good and very stable at high and low speed. But as expected, they don't glide much dead stick.
