SPEED Freak in training
I went to the AMA show this weekend and found what I was looking for, a VIP-1 and a P5
http://www.soaringusa.com/products/p...ategory_id=265 http://www.soaringusa.com/products/p...ategory_id=265 The P5 claims speed of over 200 MPH!!!! WOW I want to nick-name this plane "JART" because when this thing hits the ground I will need a shovel to find it. I also have a Dynamic 400 that I want to see fly soon. JKetron |

RE: SPEED Freak in training
Haveblue,
A living hinge is where the covering material creates the hinge.....at least on airplanes that is. typically the upper surface covering material would cover the hinge line, holding the aileron to the wing. ........so you actually have no hinges. The under side of the wing is cut out in a "v" shape to allow the aileron to flex in both directions. I believe the term "living hinge" originated from the plastics and corridated box industry. Scoring a material to create an area that will flex or fold. |
