The engine runs smoother, less viberation to plane and fuel system

Daryl, have a look at this thread.
Another Whiplash does 200+ MPH

According to the infomation there, you need an engine to turn 27-28k to reach those speeds.

rpm

This prop has a 8.9 inch pitch. That 10% more than the 8. That allows rpms to drop by 10%. So you only need 24,000 which is reasonable.

A wise person has previously stated on this forum that you need more pitch than diameter to get to 200 mph. It looks like this 8.8x8.9 pretty much proves it. Other 200 mph DD have used 9x10 to do it. My nelson will do it with a 7.2x8.6.

I am trying to hit the 200 MPH mark, I feel like I have the right plane and engine to do it just, need to work out the pro. My first try was with a Lasar Arrow using a jett bar stock 90 with 9.75-11 APC.It run though the traps at 184.3 not bad for that plane.

200 MPH

You'll do over 200 no problem, just keep on trying different settings and props, there's lots of advise and knowledge on the subject, check out some of the other posts, have fun with your whiplash, its a kick in the pants at any speed but especially over 200.

150 MPH--------- Pucker Factor 50%
200 MPH--------- Pucker Factor 80%
225 MPH--------- Spinkter collapse
