Weston UK Tigershark any good?

I am new to this scene of rc flying, and was wondering if the Weston UK Tigershark is a good buy to get started? Also, how fast does it go compared to the DDand Shrike etc?
Thanks

Although i don't own a Tigershark, I would imagine it's speed to be very similar to a Diamond Dust (and possibly faster) and defintely faster than a Shrike (which has a thick wing)

No, that is not true. A DD is way faster than a TS (with the same engine).
Why ? A DD has no suse, hence far less drag, and is lighter. Being heavy with a flat plate is a no-no as far as top end speed is concerned, as an increased angle of attack (required to produce enough lift) will dramatically increase drag, which is not the case with any regular airfoil section (drag will increase but not that much).
A Shrike .10 with a good .32 will top around 145 mph. A Shrike .40 will require an expensive engine setup (Jett, etc...) to reach these speeds and above.
A TS is a good choice to get used to these speeds. Use any .46, and then buy a West V1 or a SJ50, and let it rip. After that, get the full piped FIRE Jett .50 for the DD ... and then afterwords think about changing your pants.
Do a search here, there's a good TS video ...
