Guys:

Now THATS WHAT I BEEN TALKING ABOUT!!. Very very nice. I don't recognise the engine. So bueatiful and it has to land on its bottom. Would make 1-2 flights at our field as its so rough, but may be worth it? See ya, gonna convert all that metric stuff so I can relate. Thanks so much for sharing, got my blood flowing this morning. ENJOY

Wow, that thing will give my Firebird XL a run for its money ;)

As Speed asked, how fast is it in level flight and I take it you are planning to go to the German Speed Cup with it?

Michael,
Where did you get those drive washers and that spinner? Are they available to the "general public"?

f3d 09-03-2006 01:28 AM

RE: BVM 15 speed model

Hallo Rudeboy,

the spinner is selfmade special for this modell.
Also inside the engine the piston, cylinder and the rod is not orginal it is also selfmade and better.
The piston material is from the MB 40 pylon engine from Rob Methkemeijer.
Also the head design is complete different to the orginal. The combustion ration is now 14,5 :1 .

Now is the engine a real monster and can reaf up to 30 000 U/min with no problem.
But still some work to do on the pipe.

Best regards Michael

what type of tank( is it a bladder tank?) and what is it's capacity ..plane looks very fast... those BVM engines are expensive to .not to mention the modification you have added..very nice indeed ..hope you do well at the speed cup f3d!

So who builds this plane?. Is it a kit?

RE: BVM 15 speed model

Hallo Have blue,

Cyclic Hardover I built the plane from a German kitt.

yes it is a tettra bladder tank. I Use mostly the 240 ccm type. Sometimes I use only the bladder and make the rest myself, to fitt in a tight fuselage.

To run the engine without a bladder tank is imposible because the fuel starts foaming and you can not find the right needle position.

For the speedplanes there a some producers in Germany where you can buy a " kitt".
GFK fuselage and balsa sheeted wings. All the rest is up to you. No maual no instructions....

Best regards Michael
