CG Formula

This Mini Delta Design intrigues the heck out of me. I contacted a guy who said its not made anymore. It does look like it could be and easy modification to a Diamond Dust. So how would I determine a CG on something like this? I have the perfect engine for this NIB OPS 60 rear exhaust with pipe in a box in the deep back of a closet.

Cyclic Hardover: Great looking bird, would like to build something in that design myself. The "Euro Fighter" is my favoriate airframe, this canard design looks similar. Think you are going to have to increase the wing area to carry this engine. Bought one last year from one of the German speed merchants, claimed it turns 24-26K, came with home made carbon fiber prop and pipe. Pulled the back plate off to see the inside, wow, so many modifications to this basic 8 port system it was scarry. Have never started the engine yet. Think it would be good for maby two hot runs and then a big bang. Con rod is about half of normal size, crank cut down and ballanced, piston skirt cut down etc. Very nice work, but would not want to be in front of the thing even to start it. What was really shoscking is that it weighs in a l lb 11 oz. Reason for my comment about a larger wing area needed. Maby you have a lighter later version a little lighter. You might go to www.ardmodels.com and look at their "Stingray". A nice laid out delta that I just have never gotten around to buying, but is still in the back of my mind. A foam version of the wing is available, and may be able to hold up to the abuse I thing you will be putting a airframe through with your engine? Keep us posted as to your progression, very interesting to say the least!!!!!! Bro # 119

I love it. An engine that is worth 2-3 flights, then a big bang. If your gonna go, you may as well go out in style!. Thats what happen to my big F20 with a jett 90 on a maiden. Full speed straight to the ground. Elevator servo fluttered and popped. It was such and impressive crash, I never got upset over it. I'll check out that site
