A buddy of mine and i normally fly areobatic-3D...... but we decieded that this summer a speed plane of some sort would be ideal!! now i always liked the little tony and the shoestring...but we decided that wouldn't be fast enough!..LOL!! checked out the alley cat and the up and commer kyosho F1!! a local hobby shop has the shoestring but is it going to be as fast as i want it to be?

get a predator or a viper and slap a .46 or rossi .53 on it and go fast. Unless you want something scale.

More info on how you want to go fast may be needed.

i checked them out!!!......... look sweet but i wish they were a bit bigger!! i like that stlye though!! i'm thinking i'm going to wait for the new kyosho F1

If you want scale and fast, look into the QM40 airframes that are available.....

Matneymodels.com has a couple of inexpensive glass/foam kits... The Napier flys very well.

Build any of the QM40 airframes, install a standard TT40 or TT46 engine, bolt a regular 9x6 prop on the front and you will have something that will keep you pleanty happy. :)

I believe Lyle Larson still offers the Dago Red as a Glass/foam basic kit, and Don Stegal was going to offer the Foxy Lady and a few other 'legacy' QM40 designs for sport QM racing. On occation you will find a few listed on Ebay.

The current all-composite QM40 designs are also options - they just cost a bunch compaired to the older glass/foam planes. Definately fast though ! On occation you will find a PoleCat, Little Mike, Vendetta, Ashley and others for sale as used airframes.

So if you are looking for scale, and fast - there are pleanty of mustang and F1 derived designs floating about out there. The planes fly rock solid, very quick, very smooth - some of the best flying machines out there.

The video shows it flying with a fourstroke but that does'nt mean that what you have to install!! i would go .77 mvvs
