F20 Just Purchased

I bought a F20 with a YS.45 at the Perry Ga. show this weekend. My buddy says he built one many years ago and thinks the elevators should be longer- front to back not in length. Someone with pictures please post so I can compare. Also, any advice regarding do's and dont's and "check this first" etc. will be greatly appreciated. Aso help with the CG is needed since this is my first swept wing bird.
Thanks in advance,
Nick

Well that should be a quick bird. You do not need large ailerons on something this fast. YOU should post yours so we can identify it....

It's possible that your buddy's was nose heavy and he wanted more elevator authority. If you balance yours correctly, you might find that yours will fly as advertised the way it was designed.

yeah my old direct connect F-20 w/ YS 45 only took 1/4" of deflection at speed and less then 1/2" for a slow high AOA landing.

if you have a direct connect (or a Juno RC) the CG is 5 1/8 to 5 7/8 inches from the leading edge at the center of the wing.

Elevators are fine the way they are

Here's some pics of the F20. If you need some of the inside, just ask. Thanks.

Sweet ride, just ditch the plastic spinner... Spinner shrapnel is not a good thing :D

Looks good. Ditch the MA prop and get an APC
