I have a couple of questions about my diamond dust that i just purchased. I have a hott OS 40FX that i had on a slow pylon racer, and i wanted to know if that and a mousse can muffler would be enough to make it go about 150mph. could any one help me?????

I doubt the 40 fx will get you to 150. You could try a 9x7 but I don't think the 40 will be able to turn anything bigger at the RPMs you will need. checkout thrusthp at http://freespace.virgin.net/barry.hobson/

I have TT46pro with a 9/7 APC and Ultrathrust Muffler on a Lanier Shrike .40. I get a respectful 120mph out of this KMart setup. I suggest you use th .40 on the DD. if you have never flown one before, you will have your hands full with around a 100mph at least. Then when you get use to it all and know th plane well, step up to the pump!

I had a OS 46FX on my first DD and it flew pretty fast for a sport engine. I had a lot f fun with it and was using a APC 9 X 7 and with the stock muffler set up. I am guessing it flew a bit over 100 MPH but not hitting the 150 MPH mark.

It will take a stronger engine and more rpms's to get it into the 150 and up speeds.
