Retractable landing gear for my speed planes

Hi all,

I'm building a House of Balsa .20 Mustang that will have a YS 63 four stroke in it and I want to put retractable landing gear for more speed. Does anyone recommend good and cheap retracts for this .20 size mustang?

I am also building the famous 40 size patriot, does anyone know where I can get some retracts for it?

Thanks,

MD

Hobbico mechanicals are the best of the inexpensive retracts. ;)

Where can I buy them online?

Whoops....my bad.....[sm=red_smile.gif]

...I meant to recommend the hanger 9 retracts.....the Hobbicos are the cheapo's.

The Hangar 9's are one piece plastic instead of the screw together metal ones, which fall
apart unless they are lock-tited and maintained...I have used them, I'll never use them
again. The Hobbico's use a slip-on axle....they are very troublesome as well, they come
loose and turn so the wheels are hardly ever running straight.

The Hangar 9's have stronger wire and are pre-bent which is much better and stronger. ;)

FBD. :D

Bought a pair of Rebart 600 for .15 to .40 size planes, works perfect. Thank you everyone for helping.

....the Robart's are the top of the line. I replaced the Hobbico's that came in my F-20 with
a set of Robart HD's (heavy duty). ;)

Good luck with the project. :D
