MagnumR video

Hey all

Finally got a video of the MagnumR in flight

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNcygLNaiYc

Thats with the APC 8*9, with i believe to be a standard length manifold ? any comments on that ? i've thort of cutting it down before but not shure if it's already been done?

A quick check is to look for plating on the end of the header, or a cleanly cut pipe inlet. I could measure my pipe and header.

Where's your spinner, mate?

Ditto on the spinner!

They fly great and build in about 4 hours if your slow. About the flying. They are FAST.

Henley,
I noticed the heavy dip at launch, if you move your CG back a little you will notice a huge improvement with take off an landing. I don't remember the thread but it was a good 6mm back from what the instructions said. I have enjoyed mine for about a year now.;)

I was thinking in the lines of a Moki 2.10 with a 16X16, but first I'd have to figure out how to keep the fuslage from rolling less than 1000 rpm at launch.:D

That's a popular combo around here. I find about 25 degrees washout in the right panel and 6 ounces of tip weight will keep it from rolling too fast as it augers in.

just mount the wings at opposing angles to the prop to get some pitch to them, that way you can get usable thrust from the fuse spinning , it helps the hand launches a lot.
