Request for a doppler speed check.
If anyone has time and the audio is good enough.
I am curious as to how fast these particular planes are. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7pVSKUsxqw There may be a pass at 2:32 on this vid that is usable. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VmpaROieHck Thanks for any help with this. |

This is what I got from you videos. Toni 1st pass 84mph 2nd pass 108mph 3rd pass 91mph 4th pass 97mph Spitfire 1st pass 86mph 2nd pass (About 2:30) 99 mph I'm just learning this, but my tests on this software jived with the German program when using it on my 2 strokes. This spectrum player has a much clearer readout on 4 strokes. Blessings, Terry |
RE: Request for a doppler speed check.
I have that toni but only fly it with saito 65. A 110 on it must be pretty quick about 120 or so. the covering on mine hasnt lasted though with the nitro fuel. I am going to recover mine and put a big "little" engine in it.

RE: Request for a doppler speed check.
Tommy, have you tried an APC 13x10 on the Toni? That has been the best prop for my 1.10's on these warbird racers using 30% heli fuel.

RE: Request for a doppler speed check.
I don't like to spin my engines that hard.
We have found best results with the APC 13x13 narrow and 30%. The plane is fast enough for Silver to allow me to fly a relaxed line that allows me to tighten it up if needed from a delayed start or if I want to hold a competitor off. Thanks BTW! |
RE: Request for a doppler speed check.
You're welcome.
I tried the 13x13N. It has good top speed but was slow out of the turns. I'm sure the higher R's are harder on my engines but I just love the way it pulls through the turns. I getting 116mph with my H9 T-34 and over 130mph on my Strega using the 13x10. That's taching about 10.5K on the ground. We have an RCPRO race tomorrow at Kingman, AZ. The T-34 will go Silver and the PM Strega in Gold. I'll let you know how they fair. The Pacini's will be there so we will all feel slow anyway. :D Blessings, Terry |
