saito 220 or YS 170

I am looking to get my H9 P-51 60 size going a bit faster. right now i have a OS120 with pipe. i would guess its in the 110-115mph range. I am looking at the Mark 2.1, saito 2.20 or the YS 170. I know the YS can be strong on 60% nitro new pistons and all that. I am not going to modify them with aftermarket parts. which one would servo up the best speed. This plane is already setup up to handle anything I can throw at it. what props would work best in the 16-17" range. with the 120 its 8.2 lbs dry. the plane has no radiator scope on it, so thats 4sq" gone on the drag.

airraptor;

The YS will give you 800 or so more R's and be a little more reliable. If you really want to see the thing scoot, try a OS91VRDF, good for around 22-24,000, the BVM is better yet but pricy. A Jett 90LX will turn around 19, reliable and user friendly, well wort the bucks IMHO. ENJOY

i will look into the YS then. as far as the .90 yes they maybe powerfull but will be slow on this airframe.its 8+ lbs 750+ sq inch and draggy. thats why i need big thrust to get it moving.

220 800 rpm less 200 bucks less
170 800 more rmp 200 bucks more something to look at

I was thinking of a 16x10 -12 range maybe even a 17x8 if not to low of a load

I would say more like a 16x16 or 16 x14
A 16 x10 would be too small and slow 90mph vs 128mph

170DZ can spin 20X8 props with ease.. If going with 16-17" props, use a pitch of at least 16".
