RE: OS .25 FX vs .25 VRDF

Both engine are a great choice! I have one of each and run them both, The only problem with the VRDF that most people run into is the tuned pipe. If you have the MAC Wizard pipe system which was pretuned for the Kress RK40 fan unit. You can't change the header length because the header has a oring end the pops into the pipe. If you cut the header you will not be able to attach the pipe. You can still buy a header and pipe for the engine, just get the one for the Prop OS25VF which should be the same a the 25FX.. I think when both are correctly tuned the VRDF is the clear winner. It's a bit lighter and turn more RPM

the os .25 vrdf motor is much more powerful, but its meant for 25k rpm plus operation, on the kress setup they consistently tach at 26k rpm or more, this equates to a 7x6-7 prop, the wizard pipe setup works just fine with 7 inch props, why worry about adjusting length....hope your reflexes and eyes can keep up with this combo:D:)[8D]
