please advice me with right position
HI

I bought the macs tuned pipe for my 46 OS engine http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXZ596 but I realized that it has no pressure fittings to the fuel tank where can I drill the new pressure fitting tap to gain the maximum pressure to the tank and not to harm the tuned pipe or slowing the engine please tell me the exact place to drill thanks in advance
|

RE: please advice me with right position
I knew this already but I want to know the distance from the front.
how many cm the website shows how... but without any measurements thank you |
RE: please advice me with right position
The correct position is at or just after the widest point on the pipe. The measurement would be different for each pipe they make.

this sounds pretty clear to me. Is there a portion of this that maybe is not translating well if Arabic is your primary language?
For tuned pipe systems:

The most consistent pressure is found where the pipe first reaches its apex in width. However, this may be inconvenient. Many modelers choose to place it in the header plate. The problem here is a possible pressure spike which can develop when the aircraft is ina power dive, out running the system tuning. The spike may flood the engine causing itto lean or die. (This occurs seldomly, though.)
|
RE: please advice me with right position
A pressure spike which floods the engine and causes it to lean out or die... That sounds pretty contradictory to me... :D

RE: please advice me with right position
Go for the header, more metal to hold him down with and the return pulse guarantees pressure just outside the cylinder anyway.
