Westonuk out of business ?

Hello

I have tried to contact WestonUK direct in UK (Allan), but got an "invalid email address" response... What's more, their web site is down.
I wanted to have some information on the Vampire arf they were working on (you know, the one with the fully enclosed pipe that showed for quite some time on their web site).

Any info ?

Thx

Which HET motor you running on 5S. I have the 2W-23 but not sure I would go past 4S with 2850 KV.

I can't remember which HET one weston are using for trials.

However I got good results on my 2w-20 4s 2450mah on multiplex funjet and have airspeed measurementof 124mph.
Not used to throttle mangement though, like wot.

Some new HET motors out

What prop were you using? Since I had a motor self destruct at 52,000 rpm with a 4.1 x 4.1 I am trying to figure out what other people are getting away with.

That funjet is moving right along. Should be around 40,000 rpm.

Check out this Obsoleted HET P51 project of mine, sure wish they would bring them back. With a new ICE 60 controller the Micro DAN 2505 Velocity motor (33g motor weight) shows peak amps of 71, 800watts, and peak rpms of 51K with the 4.1X 4.1 APC, we have been using this motor in projettis as well for 2 years with same prop and no issues of prop failures.

That looks like a great combo. For a plane roughly the same size I've used .061 power that turns a 4.2x4 prop about 32,000 or resorted to a hot .15.....neither combo producing over a horsepower like you claim here. That P-51 looks like it wouldn't be too difficult to take measurements and do your own simple kits.
