What's so outdated about the tmaxx. The 3.3's seem really nice!
ORIGINAL: jd31

they would probablly come out with a new revo before the outdated t-maxx

correct me if im wrong, but ive always been under the impression that the revo was supposed to be a tmaxx replacement, and traxxas would probablly upgrade the revo before the t-maxx, thats all

if the revo was going to replace the t-maxx dont you think it wouldve done it by now? the revo has been out for what 3 years now.? the t-m,axx and revo are two totally different truck. control totally different and look different. people will be buying t-maxx's for a long time. they are great trucks.

The T-Maxx is over 10 years old, and as far as I know it's kept the same basic design. Other than maybe a few tweaks here and there, all they've really done is change the engine. I think it's plausible to believe that they would redesign, not really replace, but just redesign the T-Maxx. I'm talking new chassis layout, new suspension layout, the whole works. A big block? Well, the 3.3 is what, 4 or 5 years old? I think they might make a new engine within the next 3 years, and seeing as their last 4 were (correct me if I'm wrong) .12, .15, .15, and .20, it would be right to think they'll go a little bigger. Personally, though, I think they will come out with a 4-tec VXL before anything else.

I would think thats next since they just done the boat in brushless. My only concern is the e-revo does what 60ish? And the nitro 4tec does 70ish?

Think of what a brushless 4tec would be like, if you think about traxxass could be the first company to release the first 100mph rtr car....

i would hope that instead of making a 100mph car they would change the chassis and make a car that can actually steer well

The revo has been out since 2004, and the Tmaxx was intoduced in 1999.

5.0cc, not .50ci. And I have my doubts about it but I always do.

I was under the impression that the revo was made to be more of a racer and the tmaxx to be more of a basher. Yea the 1/16 rally is basically a mini e-revo with small pushrods and short arms to keep it low.

An rtr bigblock revo and tmaxx would be cool if traxxas would do it. I think my traxxas days are over thought now that I have a losi 8ight-t with an os .28xz. It is soooo much fun!!!!
