Does anyone know why Bob did this?
I check the specs and they're almost identical for equivalent size engines.
Does one have an advantage over the other?
Wonder how he's going to differenciate the two lines.
Thanks,
Jon

I think the customers will be able to differenciate between the two lines. Jet Central and Jet Cat both have a loyal following respectively. If this is true, BVM is simply broading their customer base by offering both alternatives. Its a good sound move for BVM from a business perspective imo.

Yeah...really...or maybe Uncle Bob can give me a franchise.

At this years event, I gave one guy my spare flex plates so he could continue to fly his Bandit...another guy a battery so he could fly his Bobcat (Kingcat?) and another guy I gave the nose wheel off of my Bobcat so he could fly his Bobcat for the rest of the meet.

Sheesh! I'm runnin out of spares!!!!

It's called "diversify". All smart companies do it.

Isn't that a Bolicat? Just wondering if there'd been an official name change

Even on Boeing jets you get a choice of engines..... GE, Pratt and Whitney..... Rolls Royce.

This should be a win win for both companies.

Hey birdman, I'm not tryimg to start a fight but you can't have it both ways. Your Barf/Falcon was a good combo but you trash Jet Central. I have 3 that run great. The only problems in 4 years was 1 ECU and 1 RPM sensor..Eric overnighted the parts. Can't beat that! The guys I have seen with problems were all self induced, gues you need to know what you are doing. I'm not a rep, show pilot or Grand Poopaw..I just fly my jets every weekend, without problems. If you don't want to fly Jet Central then buy brand X, there is no need to trash a good product.

Bla bla bla. Can't read it because of ALL CAPS. Guess he's just too thick headed to comply with the 300 requests asking not to do so.
Ignorant in my opinion...and the spelling assures me of that.

Re: BV and JetCentral. No issue with a company broadening their base. Makes perfect sense to me.

Don't worry - wasn't having a swipe at JC, just the race horse analogy! Like I said they tend to fall over and get carted off to the knackers yard which I suspect the turbines don't

It's not the caps that are a problem; you can't spell.

A few years ago it was more like BVM and JetCat was the only right way to go acc. to BVM.
Everything else was crap. What would BVM say about Chinese ARFs and Mexican turbines a few years ago??

My guess is that BVM is now selling them because he has to, rather than because he wants to...

My two ore...
