RE: New Delro model -
Chris, in the 4th photo, top row, I don't see any plywood interior reinforcement, just some carbon fiber laid over the balsa sandwich. Is the full interior mfg. this way (like by the landing gear mounting plates?)
Curious why the designer put the canopy so far fwd... the pilot in the cockpit risks getting his toes trimmed by the prop if he stretches his legs on a long flight! That cockpit is waaayyy forward!
Nifty plane, for sure!

Hello Papaone,
the Delro Opium is only available in the new Ulsamer-version 2010 and this is the model with the forward canopy like show at picture 2.
This have a reason: the Opium version 2010 have a better flight-performace special in rolling loops, and rolling circles, the P-11 M and simular maneuvers again!
You see and feel the difference.
regards
Bruno

Detail pic of the ARC version. Wings / stabs have surfaces hinged and beveled - ready to cover. Fuse has all formers and plates installed as well as the canopy and latch mechanism. Gear holes drilled and wheel pant mounting done also.

RE: New Delro model -
Im really interested in this plane but im finding it very hard to find anything on the internet about flight reports for it. I dont see much of anything about this aircraft anywhere at all actaully. If anyone has one of these or knows where i can find another thread or a flying video would be much appreciated. As im on the fence about ordering a plane that i dont know any hard facts about how it flys and basing my purchase purely off looks, (ive had some pretty bad luck in the past doing so)
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Blake Hilson

RE: New Delro model -
Hi,
I fly the new OPIUM with a Q80 13s. The explanation of this setup is faster than my Leviosa setup and very near by an 4 stroke setup.
The weight with the Q 80 and an sls 4400 EP lipo is 4910 gr. Here are some pictures of my model.

From flying previous Delro aircraft, you will NOT be disappointed. They look and fly great.

RE: New Delro model -
It doesn't look as far forward when you see it though. Its a lot better looking in person. I changed a few things on mine like adjustable stab and different adjusters for the wings. But it's a really good looking plane IMO.
Almost ready to cover my wings/stabs and paint. Been super busy with work or it woulda been done by now. I'm thinking if I don't get it done really soon (which doesn't look too good) I won't make the nats. But I'll have a new plane to fly. hehe.
