Looking great, Wes!

You're making me really regret selling my American Eagle B-24.

Keep up the good work. Looking forward to a flight report sometime this summer.

Wes,

Can you tell me a little bit about your bomb doors? I think in one of your pictures I could see planks laying on the table that looked like the doors. Are your doors hinged to swing open or did you make them in slats to move up the side?

By the way, thank you for posting this build of yours. It's amazing to see this plane. Great job.

Thanks,
Ben

I tried to make the rolling bay doors but it weakened the fuse sides to much. I just made 4 small doors hinged on the fuse centerline. I sprayed the flat clear over the weekend , now it really starting to look good. I will post more pics soon.

Wes

Really nice finished product there, Memphis.

I can't imagine how proud of it you must be.

Keep us posted after maiden flight, etc. Be sure to get a videographer!

Hi, I have just bought a Don Smith B-24 Liberator, scale 1/9 and it is afull wood kit (Precision Cuts) and want to get started shortly.
How did your maiden flight and subsequent flights go?
Any tips on getting started? Would you go for a single aerofoil (I have a large enough trailer) or keep it in 2 pieces as described in the plans.
I have read the forums and picked up some valuable tips, especially some from you, many thanks.

Great job! I love it! I have a Palmer B-24 kit that I have yet to start; I've gone in and out of the hospital since January 2010.

Love to see a video of it in the air. In a way it's a shame that you've finished it. We have one less great build to follow.

There is a youtube video under 12 foot B-24. I sold it to cal branton who has been flying it alot. there is some pics in model airplane news from warbirds over the rockies. The one piece wing is work to transport but looks good with out the joints. I am now working on a 1/6th wingspan models B-17 for cal. I hope to have it finished by this time next year. I would like for him to get the madien done anyway.
