Why haven't JetJoe Turbines Improved??

RE: Why haven't JetJoe Turbines Improved??
Most 'budget minded' first time turbiners feel they've done well.... until they start their engines for the maiden flight.

Good point. Has anyone out there ran one without issues?

That gentleman witnessed an individual up in WI complete 5 flight cycles... It is my understanding that JetJoe LLC. is trying to track down the pilot for a comment for their testimonial page to strengthen sales.
... Sorry guys. J/K

Maybe Black and Decker Workmate division subsidizes them? :-))
They even have a Workmate Jr!
Here's how I see it way back when and even more so now....
Quality is a distant second to profit at Jet Joe. 4-5 years later with little gain in quality. Yup I KNOW some get lucky and have one last more than a few hours. MOST do not. I actually saw their USA rep try 2 different brand new from the box turbines without success. More than just me saw this if you want proof. With KingTech as a quality and PRICE leader I don't see Jun Joe lasting much longer at least here in the USA.
SkyMaster isn't far behind in the promise of quality improvements either!

You guys are too funny! I think Kingtech is the answer to many guys looking to get into jets with little issue. KingTech come into the market with one turbine "k-80" at first, and it is a winner in quality and price the first time. I think KingTech is here to stay with good quality and price

Answer is quite simple... You cant fix something that you have little to no concept of how and why it works in the first place. Easy to copy something but also easy to miss the little details that define reliable operation over a door stopper.
Clearly, JJ does not have the ability to produce an original engine; and seriously shy of having the ability to copy one.

The one good thing about JJ at least they sell replacement parts. I which other manufacturer would follow.

I've seen the internals of a JJ Junior and they were really nicely made, just a shame they made them out of cheese. It was my mates and he put about 30 hours of work into keeping it going and still only got 1 1/2 flights out of it before giving up. IIRC one of the main problems was the wavy pre-load washer not staying wavy.

Box stock or modified in any way by you? Any maintenance performed in the 100's of flights? How much time on it? 300 flights at 6 minutes implies 30 hours run time?
PLEASE allow us the details as I only speak for myself in disbelief........

RE: Why haven't JetJoe Turbines Improved??
Dave
I personally have 2 of the Jetjoe Juniors in foam models.
My original engine is now about 18 months old.
The only changes I have made is to open the tail cone a little to reduce the temp slightly as suggested in another thread on this forum.
The very early Juniors suffered with loss of pre load due to the wavy washer but Joe is very helpful and if you return the turbine to him he replaces the washer free of charge and tests the engine.
I did have a combustion chamber burn out after about 6 months of hard use and again it was returned to Joe who replaced it with an improved design free of charge. Joe really is very helpfull.
I read these Jet Joe bashing threads and really can not believe some of the posts.
I know some of the posters and know that they have very little turbine experience and have never personally owned a Jet Joe.
The Jet Joe is not plug and play like a JetCat but if you know what you are doing its not a problem.
Heres another flight
