lipo C rate help
Hello
what C rate for a lipo is better I plan on using a high mah 4 cell pack to run a twin motor set up and the motors are rated for minimum 70 amp ESC's is it better to run a lower C rate or higher C rate Say maybe 20c-25c-30c-40c Is it as it goes the lower the C rate the longer the pack will last as in flight times or no ?
Thank You

RE: lipo C rate help
A battery's mAh rating (1C) determines flight time. It's C-rating multiple (20C, 25C, 30C etc.) indicates how much burst current can be safely provided. For many setups designed for general flying, you will probably rarely approach such high rates of discharge.

RE: lipo C rate help
Higher C-rate packs will deliver slightly higher voltage under load... whether it is worthwhile to go with very high C-rate packs depends on the expected use, and the weight penalty.
