Default Wire length from controllers

I'm building a 4 motor plane. I know now that the wires from the battery to the controller must be short. Can I use 28" to 30" wires from the controller to the outboard motors? Inboard motors will have 18" to 19" wires. If not, what are my alternatives?

Thanks

Default RE: Wire length from controllers

Astro Bob (of Astroflight fame) tells of setting up a blimp with something like 15' wires from the controllers to the motors. It's the battery to controller length that's a problem.

Then you can always incease a wire size if they are really long i.e. 12 ga to 10 ga but you do not have long leads so I would not worry about it.
