Default Damn storm

I am really getting sick this storm tearing through the north east. I ordered a transmitter from Horizon, and I cant get a hold of anyone because they are closed due to bad weather. I need to change some details on the delivery and cant. I also cant get a hold of AT&T to complain about my ridiculously high DSL bill ($48 for some reason). Due to the FEET of snow, an ebay seller cant ship something I just bought, and is trying to convince me to let him cancel the purchase (hell no). I am in a transitional period between slightly irritated, and outright pissed.

Yea, ever since the December 26th storm, it's been really bad here in the north east. It seems like we get a major storm once a week almost with maybe one more little storm in between.

That sounds like the storm we had the day after Christmas. My family and I went to a play in Summit, NJ (22 miles) and it took us about 3 hours to get home and we're lucky we didn't get stranded on the roads like a lot of people. I beleive that day they got over 30 inches. About 3-4 days after the storm, NYC was still burried.

I love this type of weather. You can always put clothes on, but can't take it off, to a certain point anyway.

At least we're not getting hit with "Cairo" weather. It's so bad there that it's raining stones....[]

First of all, Horizon's not in the "Northeast". They're in Illinois.

Second of all, it's a really good thing that your only concern is for your transmitter and ebay rather than the well-being of the people that have to deal with this:

Ironic license plate?

There's a lifted, gnarly Jeep somewhere off to the right.

Now that is forward thinking....lifting the windshield wipers off the glass before the snow hits...[&:]

I would have never thought of that....but then again....I don't have a lot of experience with snow in my adult life.

As does ThunderbirdJunkie, but we are in the minority. Unless you run a grocery store your business is screwed until the main drags are cleaned up.

And 007...hopefully that goes for SW Ohio too. ThunderbirdJunkie wants some damn snow here!

I said the storm tearing through the north east is hindering my purchases, idiot. Not that Horizon hobby is actually in the northeast. Wow, you are all snowed in and get out work for a few weeks... must be hell.

That would take two hours max to shovel the drive way..

you know what would fix that , get a high pressure washer and hook it up to your home taps on the HOT water system and melt it all away instead of using shovels

That would be a horrible idea... the water would be cool (if not frozen) by the time it hit anything. Then freeze, which would probably make things 10x worse. Ice storms suck... im sure an accidental ice storm caused by someone with a pressure washer would suck even more.

First of all, how in the Hell is something tearing through the Northeast hindering a purchase shipping from IL? And some people don't get paid for that week they're forced to take off

And calling ThunderbirdJunkie an "idiot" for good measure. When you can't be superior to the person you just resort to personal attacks or what? Are you that insecure?
