Sc18 vs vendetta sc
Been looking at all the different 1:18 / 1:16 short course trucks and now having a hard time deciding which to buy. I believe these were the only two that are 4x4, which is one of my priorities. Also the 4wd system itself is something to look at. Iirc the sc18 is belt driven as the vendetta sc is shaft driven. And seeming as this is mostly going to be a basher, granted I take care of all my cars whether they are stricly for race or for bombing down the street, but things happen it's capabilty to do cartwheels flawlessly is also something to take into account. So what do you guys think?

RE: Sc18 vs vendetta sc
This is a tough one, as both are durable. Both are zippy.
I personally like the layout of the SC18, lower CG, whereas the Vendetta's electronicsare "stacked", but the Vendetta has Duratrax's parts guarantee.
It's your choice! Have fun!

Also i maybe should have added that I'll be dropping in a mamba max micro pro w/ 6900 kv motor... I was kinda leaning towards the vendetta honestly. I just think it looks better and more scale as well as a tougher 4wd system.
Opinions?

RE: Sc18 vs vendetta sc
I've got an SC18 w/ a Castle Sidewinder Micro system and an 8000 Kv motor, and it rips!
The belt system is a bit tight, but I expect it to loosen as time goes by. I have had no problems with belt systems, and all my 1/10th scale on-roaders are belt driven. The SC18's belts are fully enclosed, so there's no worry of them getting bunged up w/ debris. Many of Associated's option parts for the 18R will fit the SC18.
The Duratrax doesn't have much in the way of option parts, but again, it does have the parts guarantee, so again, it's up to you.
I just don't want to appear partial just because I have an SC18.

RE: Sc18 vs vendetta sc
Well I think I have decided to go with the vendetta sc. Looks like I'll be going down to the local hobby shop in the morning.

RE: Sc18 vs vendetta sc
My son and I both have Detta SC's and absolutely love them! We haven't had the pleasure of experiencing a track, so we know there's a lot to do with them yet. They're a blast on pavement too. Istill have to put my DTXsway bars on and the stiffer green rear springs. Planning on going brushless too. I may swap my Hobbywing 35a esc and Hyperion 5000kv motor in soon. I used to think my Miniquake was fun until I ran this truck. It's also bigger than the SC18, which Ifind more appealing.
