All that I had is bad, hate to spend the $$$ to fix such a small area, that is why I asked about the epoxy paint, do you know if it will bond to the area?

Thanks;

Epoxy will bond to almost anything so you will be fine,but if it were me and to save painting id use a small amount of poly resin with some colour additive or gelcoat mixed into a paste with talc if the damage is deep? if not just use gelcoat as Hemi says.gelcoat is cheap and you dont need a lot just get a 500 ml tin and some catalist mix with some talc (usually very cheap from the gelcoat suppliers )to a paste if needed .

Thanks Mart; I will go with the poly and color, already have the catalist. And I have some good resin, not sure if it is bonding or finishing.

Again thanks

Good tip for you to get cheap resin or gelcoat is look up any fibreglass moulding companys they will usually sell you some pretty cheap.I used a company that makes glass fibre roofs among other things and the gelcoat and resin was half what i usually pay and it was the exact same stuff too.

I know boaters world and west marine sell a gel-coat repair kit thats about 30 bucks and comes with 6 colors and its in very small quantity. Worked great on my seaswirl boat. Comes with everything you need.

I up loaded an image of the damage I am trying to repair, can anybody give tips on how to repair this, my LHS recommended this finished two epoxy resin kit. Do I mix that with talc like im reading in multiple forums for repairing this. He also stated to repaint it with simple testors modeling paint.
