Try check the wires on your receiver, sounds like you have one of them plug in wrong.

Then call Traxxas. Their support is pretty good, should ship you a ESC replacement.

If you had other RCs, you would know to always turn on your transmitter FIRST - results in a lot fewer problems.

Make sure the esc isn't in low voltage detection mode used for lipo. I thought mine was screwed up too till I checked it.

Make sure the esc isn't in low voltage detection mode used for lipo. I thought mine was screwed up too till I checked it.
He stated that id turns solid green. This means he IS in Lipo mode.
A blinking red light means

Slow Blinking Red means the low voltageProtection Detection on): The . When the

battery voltage begins to reach the

minimum recommended discharge

voltage threshold for LiPo battery packs,

the VXL-3m will limit the power output

to 50% throttle. When the battery

voltage attempts to fall below the

minimum threshold, the VXL-3m will

shut down all motor output. The LED on

the speed control will slowly blink red,

indicating a low voltage shutdown. The

VXL-3m will stay in this mode until a fully

charged battery is connected

-3m has entered..

First thing he needs to do is read the manual.
After he does that, ALWAYS turn on the TX before the vehicle.

Before he calls Traxxas, I'd suggest following the instructions in the manual to recalibrate the ESC.
And I've beat the tar out of mine and the worst issue I've had is the half shafts popping out, but a little
heat shrink solved that
i am starting to really hate this thing first my parts are breaking now this
If you're having issues with a lot of parts breaking, it might be that it's too fast for you to control.
Set the ESC to training mode. It'll only give you 50% throttle.

You should be able to get about 12 minutes or more out of the box with the stock battery.Try to charge yours a few times more, sometimes nimhs perform better after being used and recharged a few times.

I have the mini slash, and I ran into this same problem.

I probably have atleast 20 hours on it, I have always turned the radio on first then the car, and Ihave always ran lipos in it. In the middle of driving it, Iran into the same problem. The throttle control just blinks a light red light and non of the channels are working. I have plugged in several different lipos to see if Ihad any dead lipos and no changes. I changed the batteries of my controller and still nothing.

It is really weird, I avoid water as much as possible, and Iwas just running it in my back yard in the dirt and concrete. Iwasnt even jumping it, and in the middle of turning on the concrete it just died and this problem is what resulted. I am wondering if something burned up because I was running it a bit through the grass and I was pushing the throttle hard to keep it moving. I will just call traxxas since Icannot find any info on what this might be a result of.

The E-Revo is very very fast, and very small. Things will break if you hit other things going very very fast in a small RC. If you don't want to break things, upgrade the breaking parts, and/or stop running into other things.

Did you check your manual? It explain what each of the colored LEDS blinking means.Might be a programming issue. Try reprogramming your ESC step by step. The throttle trim or braking might not be set right. Also check all of your connections. Make sure everything is connected to the receiver correctly. Sounds like everything is just not communicating together.

Try re binding your TX,and going back to Factory settings, and dont use rechargable batteries in the TX, that was my problem.

If you unplug the steering servo and then try it the throttle should work and it will mean you will need a new servo
