Best AntiVirus Prog?
I have not had a problem with viruses(viri ) since the late 90s... i now am very careful with the websites i visit and no longer download "freeware" which is the most infected programs out there, from personal experience
I know this section is really intended for rc related chit chat, and i hope this thread isnt locked down. but i feel this thread is a good topic that could be discussed in your local clubs "clubhouse", RCU is even better its world wide
I dont mind paying a yearly fee, id rather pay and get full benefits (im willing up to 50$ a year) and get top notch protection. i dont wanta program thats constantly nagging me ....i just wanna be able to scan and be able to disinfect my pc.
i recently had one of my accounts hacked into, and would like to take preventive measures to keep this happening again

My main line of defense is Ad Block Plus + common sense browsing + Firefox. However if something slips by I have Malwarebytes sitting around.
Oh, and as for account hacking, if you have a good password and don't give it out your account is as safe as you can make it.

I keep getting these silly pop up windows with ip addresses, of the hacker/virus, everytime I tune into RCU(here),,, was told its because of 3rd party sites on this website that are infected.

I've checked my rig with Malwarebytes after seeing the claims. No trojan turned up. Gotta love ad block plus
Oh, and I will vouch for AVG. The only reason I'm using Malwarebytes is because I can't be bothered to buy a license for AVG and my trial ran out. They're both equally good.

Get a MAC!
Get a MAC!
My company requires this AV software http://www.sophos.com/products/enter...nd-control/mac for all MACs connected to the network.

Yeah, seriously, Apple machines are just as unsecure as Windows machines. Perhaps even moreseo because Steve Jobs inaccurately blabbers on about how they're secure, that seems to make hackers and malware writers attack it just out of spite.
Computer security is 95% user and 5% network anyways. I don't even update my Windows, yet I don't get any virii.
