do you think the p-20 will have a chance to have integrated kero start and solenoid in the future like p-100 ? it would be so great

Is the mini GSU available, because I got the full size one with my P20, looks a bit silly bringing out somthing as bit as the wing span to check the pump voltage, well nearly.

Yes!!!!!! The small Skymaster F-4!!! Could you PLEASE post some pictures of your plane? I believe your Phantom would be a perfect fit for the 100!!

Available around summer? Hmmm! DHL just dropped off my smaller Skymaster F-4 2 hours ago. Sounds like this is going to be the perfect fit for it!

you all think the P100 will be enough thrust for the small F4?? it's roughly the same size as a BVM F4 yes? I look forward to the pix of your F4 and more pix of the Tam A4 from California jets

I think if you can keep it light the 100 would be perfect. Using the 100 over the 80SE will save you what, like 2 lbs?? I really love the smaller Skymaster Phantom. I saw one at California Jets last year and the finish is absolutely unbelievable!!
Hey Buck, I like this scheme......how about you??

I would say from what I know about the P-100, it would be very difficult to make it happen in the front of a P-20. Not saying impossible, but very tough.

Well, it's all about letting the engineering meet the demands. Do people wish to have it all in one package? then just make the envelope larger to house everything. ''just'' make the front cover larger and everything fits perfect :-)

As above just increasing the length a bit would allow it to accomodate the valves, but with a small motor like the P20 the weight issue may be a problem for some installations.
Just my thoughts.

Well one of the main cool things about the P-20 is the tiny size for the install. If you start throwing everything on the front the motor size grows. Of course you could always fit an F-16 jet engine in a little T-38, the T-38 just gets bigger. I would say it tends to defeat the purpose.

Hi Buck. I believe the BVM Phantom has a slightly larger wingspan with the length being almost identical but for the most part you are correct...about the same size.

I spoke with Bob about this turbine.
First things first, Markus and the gang from JetCat love Florida Jets and really consider it an important trade show and a great place to meet customers from all of the Americas (JetCat is huge in Central and South America).
They show true prototypes, some fairly early in the production cycle. They have previewed the P-120, P-20, P-60, P-70 and I think the P-180 at Florida Jets in years past (if memory serves).
I have not seen Bob this excited about a new turbine in a long time. FWIW, I told him to order all of them he could, it is a great set up and will work well in a lot of planes. $2500 price, 100 newtons, lightweight, simple install and the new ECU is really extrodinary. I am thinking about one in a wooden reaction 54.
As for delivery, time will tell. Bob is handicapping September of 2011.

Considering the weight save between the P100 and 80SE...doesnt the 100 eat a lot more fuel?
TP.

I think Ali touched on this in his review of flying the 100 in Tams A-4. Since he did not have to use 3/4 throttle for most of the flight (unlike the P-60) there was significant fuel left in the tank upon landing.
