I got out of selling the CRRC pro line of engines. But if you want to send me the engine for repair, I will get you a price on the repair and go from there.

The GP26R has a vibration problem. Not just a little vibration, either!

The only good CRRC pro I ever got was from Jim at Agape racing and hobby. I still have the engine and it is performing very well.

I have the V2 version and have had no luck with mine. It was beleived that a certain handfull of them had the timing incorrect from the factory. Evidently I bought one of the ones that was because mine ran really crappy, vibrated somthing awfull, and would deliver full rpms. I was told it could be easily fixed with a timing kit so I tried that. The engine behave better but still not much power and wouldnt idle. Id like to find somone with more eperience to see about getting it to run right if possible but the guy I talked to that had delt with the same problem on multiple CRRC engine to said he closed his shop.

I bought several of these engines from a seller here on rcu named ibcinyou, they were all basicly junk, and were more greif than any ohter engine I have ever bought.
The Seller refuses to repair them, even thought they are still under warranty. He has now stopped answering my emails and phone calls. Just beware of who you buy these engines from.

yearningtofly,
What were wrong with the engines?
Mine does not have many tanks on it but I don't have any issues (yet?)

The ones I got from ibcinyou have all had timing issues, and and ignition issues. And the list of problems goes on.
So for now Im done with the engine line, I have decided to buy engines that will last more than an hour, and buy them from sellers who will back up the warranties when needed.

Got my Gp26R the other day....rigged it up tonight for a tester...& i was impressed!...hearing about the vibration people mention, did not find a fault really, behaved exactly like the rest of my V2's tbh.
Impressed with the whole package really...as it cost me very little, small Cm6 plug, RC-exel ignition...also ran up on mineral 25:1 & on a fairly low on power 4-cell eneloop 2000mah...ran perfect & got 250cc's through it only...great idle & transition..'ran on a pitts ex'.
Tomorrow i'll put more fuel through it before i fit it in a substantial ESM Aichi 83" Val.

Well, the GP26R impressed the other day when i maidend my ESM Aichi.....flight after flight & no problems whatsoever...the engine has bags of power & was on half throttle & only going to WOT when performing giant loops.
I was so impressed..i ordered another one!..it'll either go in a Hurricane or LA7...esm planes.
Selected prop was a cheap master air-screw 18x6..here's the plane!

MY first gp26r the timing was to advanced..but after some porting and a pipe it turned an APC 18/8 at around 10000rpm about 5 horses..until the big end bearing gave out...so i built another which the same thing occured,,after around 30 flights each.30 fast flights of nearly tearing the wings off my 120 ultimate...these motors have the same reed block as a dl,dle,de 50cc with a bit of port and piston work they scream...
Now ive replaced with a 20dle (piston +porting work done as well)

I got one from maxfordusa.
The only one availablt points towards the cylindar head. I have the Katana profile CRRC has on their website. I need one that is 90 degrees to the cylidar head. Gonna try this one and see how it goes. If I could bend the output pipe, that may look funny but work.

See an article somewhere where guys were wrapping the silencer in fibreglass tape stuck on with high temp silicone. apparently deadens the noise quite a bit

DIY Muffler.
Throttle arm on the same side as the needles so accesible when inverted and clears the choke lever.
Pulse line taken from the crankcase side in case I fit a larger carb in the future.
Ports all looked good, so I didn't touch. Did have to relieve the backplate and polish it as the big end clips the otherwise sharp edge and marks / chews at it.
