Wd40 ruins bearings. I use after run oil on my bearing and it works. Find some bearing lube and google how to lube rc bearings.
ANDNOWD40!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are better things that can be found around the house, but stick to the proper stuff.

nothing is wrong cleaning bearing with wd40. it displace the water just like it is made for. leaving a light oily film to protect the balls/races of the bearings.
makes bearing smooth, never had a problem doing it for a couple years, running in canadian salty snow.

Wd40 eats a little metal too. This loosens the ball rollers in the bearings which causes slopiness. All oils displace water. Use proper lube.

Yea I know but hey I wanted to see how water proof they were and my answer is NOT water proof had to get 2 new ESCs and a new reciver. but hey it super fun to bash in the snow and now that race season is here I will be at the track and not home bashing.

No matter what bearings you buy if you run them in the snow and ignore taking care of the bearings like you said, you will have the same problem. So any bearings will be poopy.

Before you call something dumb, do your research.
