Default Scanning ratio

Scanning ratio

I have been using an older version of Omnipage to convert the text of some magazine article in to the common TXT format. I may be wrong in this. I have an adjustable scanning ratio and currently have it set at about 250 DPI. May be this was a wrong ratio guess.

What scanning ratio (in DPI) do you use for obtain good readibility with your converter?

Default RE: Scanning ratio

Hey Coosbay. Not to be picky, but I think you mean resolution, rather than ratio.

And I tried a bunch of experiments once, and it seemed that any thing over 300 dpi was a waste of time.
