1/5 scale Skymaster F-86 and a P-200
I am thinking of replacing my P-160 with a 200 and am wondering what I need to change. The turbine mount is straight forward but do I need to replace the exhaust tube? Is there enough room with the new tank location or will i need to go back to the older tanks?
Anyone have some pictures of their installation with a P-200.

Can't speak for the F-86 speciically, but the times where I went from 160 to 200 required a different pipe, which I bought from Tam Jets

The main reason I am thinking about the P-200, shorter take off's run. The plane is plenty fast once in the air, but it eats up a lot of runway with the 160 even on tar. The F-86 was never a really fast jet, but we lost the only long tar runway here and it will likely fly off a grass runway from here on out, except for the few times I take to an event.

The first SM F86 Sabers had the same problem, too much weight forward of the CG, the take off roll was very long ,
I think a P200 is way too much motor for that plane the residual thrust would be an issue as well. I have a P160 for mine
Do you have the new tanks, that are mounted behind the rear former ?
Good Luck

I did a small build thread which detailed some of the modifications I made. I used a mixture of the new tanks and old. Ali didn't have a problem with this setup using a 160. We were going to put a 200 in it but he changed his mind half way through the build which was probably a wise choice.
I'll try and find the thread for you

It wasn't the best SM kit I've ever built but it was a pre production prototype (apparently) wish I was told that when I quoted for the build
