RE: Large Skymaster Hawk build
our Hawk here just started:
http://www.petame.gr/forumv/showthread.php?t=6751
one of the things i did deferent and i like to point out is
the cables of the elevator servos are going over the elevator and not unter.
this way they stay away from the hot pipe.
the stering set up is excused and corect IMHO
because of the offset hole on the plastick part on the leg end..

in case you dont want to glue the rear bottom fins on,
you can make them removable !
i made a small cut on there rear as you can see in the photos and i attach them with only one small screw on the frond..
so now you just push them in the airframe and back to lock in the slot and screw them . they feel very strong
cheers

No, but getting there, just flying LSA takes up all my time. Are those the correct size pilots for the hawk, they look a bit small in the pics, but if they are right I need one. Thanks will mail you.

RE: Large Skymaster Hawk build
I finished building the hawk last week and maiden it too before hand it over to its owner.
The plane doesnt feel heavy on the sticks and has no bad habits at all.
Steady and easy to fly with the p160sx to be the perfect engine for it IMHO..hopefully soon i will have a small video for all to see
..gone to fly[8D]

Hello
The plastic is about 2mm in thickness. Just like vac forming the temperature of the plastic is the most critical thing.
I've had a few emails regarding the lights I'm using. I may make a full lighting package for this model as I've had a few requests. For those that have enquired I'll get back to you on pricing. I just want to make sure everything is good with this one and the lights are actually better than anything else on the market. The first few flights should show what they're like.
Cheers, Alex

I'm currently evaluating the Large Hawk and am pretty much over the line with it. Whilst the kit has issues, what kit doesn't. It looks like Skymaster have fixed up sme of the major ones from what I can tell from the build threads.
Are you still interested in selling a lighting kit? I've looked at what you've done and it looks way beyond my plastic working ability!
Cheers,
Colin

Hi Colin
I did make a batch of lighting kits but all sold I'm afraid. Unfortunately I don't have time to do another batch as I've got lots of customer projects booked in and being a one man band means time is at a premium, sorry.
