we have earthquakes n this area now n weve never had them before where u could hear em, seems kinda weird ive lived n this area 48yrs n it seems like a precurser to somthing more ominouse[:-] hell they backup the pins that hold the carport down 2inches when we have one, n then i will see weve had one or several ect, but know that ive heard of mr 53lbs of thrust ive decided the locals must be complaining of the noise from the launchin his model f16 aka the space shuttle from yon flying feild lol the oil companys r probly following him round hoping to sell a entire truck load o fuel, n i thought i heard distant thunder coming from his direction u animal u, n the all birds spook n takoff like a bat outta hell lol

Not at all, You just need to modify the engine mounts because the stock ones are to narrow for the 5.5 inch wide p-200
Obviously I didn't get it for speed because if you do hold wide open for to long in a straight line it will rip the fin off or an elevator. Just make me able to perform very scale power maneuvers.

anyone ever fly there f-16 with the cg set at 220mm i was wondering how they like that cg change i felt it was fantastic, we got snow on the ground her n okla out the ass lol so i cant fly but i could when it was cold n i didnt really give a crap how cold it was because seems n the summer the bugs n the heat keep a fella from flying his turbine jets ect, the freakin mosquitos will bleed u dry round here n there big enough to ride so god help ya if one jumps ur butt n bites it lol,[X(] im betting the mosquitos r the reason the dinosaurs went extinct the desease carrying *******s[:@], anyhow i got some flights n the day the snow started coming n but didnt see any of it at the airport , just got really low hung clouds which were kinda fun untill i relized after landing there was some ice frozen water drops on my aircraft n that was enough for me i packed it the heck up n went home lol

220 is excellent, watch your cross wind landings over 10 knots. elevator becomes very touchy in the ground fx .
on windy days it helps to add a few ounces back in the nose, on less windy days, take it back out.

Hi All,
I just bought a F16 1:6 from Pollack in Germany. How do i see, that i have a new Version??.
In the new Version, is there still the problem with the landing gear-> long runway and the plane doesnt want to start?.
have a nice day

As far as I recall, old version had 2 pice fuse vs newer 3 piece, older had scale main gear doors, newer does not (it has larger main gear doors) since wheels would hit the edges of the openings and not retract. Main former on the older model had arches on the bottom part (where the wheels would go up against) the newer ones have a main former with a flat bottom to adjust to a higher main gear location (front of the retract mechanism attaches to this former and to adjust to the higher hinge line of the main doors (the main gear doors are bigger but only the the top part, thus the hinge line is now higher on the fuse)

The only difference is that the 3 piece fuse has the intake as a separate piece while the 2 piece kit rear fuse is a solid piece from the intake to the tail, the intake attaches to the rear fuse at the same former as the nose piece, the main reason for the additional piece I understand is to reduce the overal dimensions for shipping, nothing else

ah i understand now, too bad thay can't get the peices to match as well as when it was a 2 piece though isnt it? seems when shipping concerns become more important that fit n finish/quality its a shame,

Hi there,
Does anyone of you use the delivered exhaust pipe. Is it good enough for an TJ70/16 Turbine (16kg thrust).
Is seems to be very taff, does anyone have experience?.
thx

I have been using the stock pipe with a Jet Central Rhino (36 lbs pounds thrust) with no problems.[8D]

Hi David,
Do you happen to have a photo of the engine mounting, bypass and pipe area?
I am currently building mine with a AMT Pegasus and the bypass seems very long. I may need to cut the tail part of the bypass in oreder to fit the pipe. Also my engine do not sit in the centre of the mount but more infront, is it correct?
Regards
Henry

Hi Henry,
Before cutting the pipe, check where you C.G. may end up. Tail is very heavy and you have to put the turbine as much forward as possible .
Avoid to add unecessary lead in the nose !
Best regards.

RE: Jetlegend 1/6 Scale F16
Hi Delahaye53,
I will not be cutting the pipe but probably the bypass to enable the engine to sit further infront to the intake.
The Pegasus is slightly longer than a P160 I think, that's why I'm facing with this issue.
Also the engine mount has "L" shape support bracket below and I'm not too sure if the front mounting is strong enough to hold the engine.
Any help is much appreciated.
Regards

RE: Jetlegend 1/6 Scale F16
replace the stock pipe with one from tamjets, theres is about 7 oz lighter n is much better pipe, go look at my profile n u can see where my engine n bypass is located, but i run the lower part only of the bypass because it does alow more forward engine mounting n gives equipment under it protection from the obviouse things, but it seems when the upper part is installed 2 things happen, 1 u can get to the engine with a fire extinquser n 2 it makes everything run hotter, but do mount as far forward as u can for cg , n remeber the new cg is 220mm not the 183mm, anyway hope it helps

Henry;
The Pegasus will not fit in the original bypass you'll have to mount the turbine at the front of the mounting rails, no they are not strong enough, I replaced the mounting rails with a thicker plywood, I Hysoled some brackets to the fuel tanks which screw into the turbine rails for a secure fixing of the tanks and additional support to the mounting rails...See pic
