Default K & B 3.5 Question

Just picked up a used K & B 3.5 engine with boat from a garage sale. Is there a need to pressurize the tank for this to run? It doesn't appear to. Any help is appreciated..............

I normally do, but you could surely try without pipe pressure.

If you want to go fast yes. The pressure fitting will go on the wide part of your tuning pipe. A line from that goes to the NEW line inside your fuel tank . The little bubble on TOP of your fuel tank is the end of the pipe. Pressure from the tuning pipe is added to the fuel tank and supercharges your fuel as it enters your needle on your carb.

if you don't pressurize the fuel tank, how are you going to get and keep the engine running?
just asking, every nitro engine I have owned and use today require to have the fuel tank pressurize for it to run,
weather the pressure is coming from the pipe or the crank case.

I appreciate all responses.......it would make sense that there should be a pressure nipple somewhere on the lower unit, but there is not. On MECOA's web site for K&B 3.5 info it shows the fitting. Maybe I'll just add one. Thanks again............JB

is the hole for the pressure nipple there on the lower unit?
can you put a pic ?

it is possible the person who had it before removed it, who knows when was the last time that person ran the boat and did it even run?

enjoy your find, keep us updated.
