RE: CMP Me109G..DREAM MACHINE! TopGun bash!
couple pics of the blister on top of the cowl so the DB605AM engine vent piping can clear.
took along time to do, for such a small part ... but worth the effort. sorry if its a bit blurry,
but close up pics arn't my specialty.

Anything can be done with enough work. Running scale size tires requires cutting into the spar. There was at least one person who relocated the gear to the scale location and used the appropriately sized tires. If you search through the main thread on this plane you should be able to find him.

RE: CMP Me109G..DREAM MACHINE! TopGun bash!
Usual form of the Bf 109G-14/U4's port side plate. The plate on the pic below
comes from W.Nr. 511210. The plane was apparently made as a fighter-bomber,
or with extended operational range. The plane could merely carry bombs or a
300 litre drop-tank.
However the circumstances with the Bf 109G-14/U4 that flew with JG52, it was
not used as a fighter-bomber, only as a extended range fighter.
When I do print this out and attach it to a 20mmx6mm piece of flight metal, it
will be very hard to read from a distance. but I'll know its there
now I was told that if the judges can't see it in the picture.. then don't put it on
the model... really?

Also in "Top Gun", judges don't look at, or judge the cockpit. But still nice to have.
Found all the resin parts I offered. I will probably get to the post office this Monday for cost of shipping.
Since some of the parts are blems, (minor cosmetics) auto glazing putty may make that an easy fix.

So here's what I'm sending you on Monday.
INFO: The prop blades are 9.5" long. They are pretty close to the scale size 3 meter prop arc of the full scale that used that size.

hahah , you know I have action figure now , and two grown boys that dont miss one second of makeing fun of dad . Now when I make the dollies head turn with my servo , they say I have way to much time on my hands lol . To really creap them out , I add the creepy voice from the Chuckie movies and I instantly gain respect and fear .
Greg great job on the build , I did not know you did not get judged on an interior , seems like an amazing rule when you consider the work seen in so many Top Gun interiors .

This guys head turns , personally I think he is possesed !!!!
Greg , you may be able to save some money on the pilot .I spent over $50 on mine only to cut away the body , rebuild with blue foam , cutting the weight from 8oz to 3oz .
You can find great german pilot head and most appropriate gear online.
You then add a cheap $8.00 servo directly to the head , hidden in the blue foam chest cavaty . You connect the servo lead to either the alerons or the rudder and your 100% set and ready with a moveing pilot .
I am thinking on my P40 , of adding two , one for the neck and one to the arm that will move with the canopy .The tiny servos make the mods very easy .

I wish I had known about your galland pilot before i got my german want-a bee , Gallands scheme is what I will be doing on my Fw190 . Galland Fw190 scheme is more common on the FwD9 , love the use of the unusual greens , and grays ect
