Nice shots Dave. You sure captured it. That '47 was awesome to watch and hear!!
I have to "ditto" Scotty about the event. He said it perfectly. Great job to all the "help" that made it happen. I had a great time.
Thanks again
Lowell

David,
Thanks for the pictures, they are great...
And Kenny and team: thanks a lot for putting this event together every year, it was really really fun. It was definitely the most laid back event I have attended. I'll post some pictures later
Jack

Just got home! WOW, what a great time! Many, MANY thanks to Kenny and his better half for the endless work and hospitality....a big thanks to Davecand the rest of the crew as well....thank you!
We burned up 25 gallons of kero, most of it through the evo 90 in Jakes Bandit....needless to say he had a great time runin' with the boys!
Now for my highlights:
Jack Diaz and the Hun....pure magic to watch fly, every time you went up I stopped to watch as you made flying the heavy metal look easy all the while being one of the most humble persons I have ever met. Your award win was richly reserved!
The Jug.....OMG....period!
Shui and the Ultra conducting dusk patrol....just outstanding. The lighting on the Ultra along with your wicked flying style is something that has to be experienced to be believed. I am surprised Joe did not pass out!
Joe....good job on not passing out!
Paul Reese....loved the video, excellent work!
George Manning winning the evoJet 160VX. Welcome aboard!
The las Vegas crew: Chad, Dave E., and Marc.....it was a good time!
And finally to all our friends, old and new....it was great to see everyone again and we count the days to our next meeting!

Whoa, what a great time I had this weekend! I went from not being able to go because of finals to staying until Sunday to hang with the Vegas boys!
BIG thanks to Kenny and his Wifey! What a class act! Both of them carried CA Jets this year. Great job!
I'm glad to have been able to fly and "chillax" with such a great group of people. From old friends, to new, this CA Jets was one of my favorites. Looking forward to BITW to do it all again!

Dave (InboundLZ),
I completely agree with everything you said, but I'm going to have to add a couple highlights here as well:
1) Dave Bottita crashing through the screen on Chad's 24 hour 'new' trailer like some giant bug on a mission!
2) "Someone" dumping Kero into the little Honda generator (it actually ran all day on it before we figured it out!).
-Guess I'm going to have to buy some blue jugs!
Phenomenal weekend fellas. That was my first jet event in 10+ years and the biggest change (besides no nitro DF) was pilot profficiency...everyone was a top-notch stick. A huge thank you to Kenny and the crew; it won't be another 10+ years now.

Another Ca-Jets goes by and can't wait for the next one.
I had good relax time and spend time with my son...didn't do much flying at all the whole weeken. Just needed get away from the shop for once not doing anything. Just got burn out from many late night workings and needed a break.
Thanks to our buddy Dave Shofner and the clubs member works so hard getting the site in better conditions and I think BW will getting even better site for more future show coming.

On behalf of everyone involved in bringing you the 6th annual California Jets, I would like to extend a big THANK YOU to all, from far and wide, who made the trek to Buttonwillow.
We had absolutely gorgeous weather, gorgeous airplanes and a great group of not-so-gorgeous, yet very skilled pilots :-)
Thanks again to our many sponsors who without, the show could not go on. Can't wait to do it again in 2012...which as you know, will probably be the last Jet event you attend before the end of the world thing happens.
So I know you'll want to make your plans early for that one :-)
Congrats to all the award winners, and also congratulations to George Manning who won the evoJet Booster 160vx.
Thanks to those posting the great photos. Off the chain images Dave S.
Thanks again,
Paul
As a side note: in case you haven't seen, a new thread was created announcing the posting of the 2010 event movie, which can be viewed from the [link=http://www.ca-jets.com]ca-jets[/link] website.

My son Cris and I had a Fantastic time! For Cris was his first RV experience/Jet event and he had a BLAST! The event was fun, relax, family oriented and yes I burn all the kero I had! Thank you to all the organizers, you guys did an incredible job! I love trying to chase Jakes Bottita Bandit with my Bobcat …… but next time I need to bring a rocket! So nice to see some good friends and make some new ones!

He had good time in the RV playing with Cris and Santiago.
