I seen this tank and instantly fell in love with it.

They used to sell it at walmart. But they dont make it anymore and i really want one. Any of them. Whats new? and where can I get it. They dont cover this stuff in r/c car action mag or r/c heli. Any websites or location list will help. Thanks!!

It's been out of production for quite some time. You may need to keep an eye on Ebay for that one. Not many around.
You would have better luck finding a Hobby Engine 1:16 Abrams. they need work but with some time and skill make decent running tanks.

If you found one, you probably would be disappointed. They are just like the Stuart..only two speeds... full go or full stop and the engine doesn't sound anything like an Abrams...more like a tired 9 cylinder radial. Maybe with a better electronics setup it would be OK as they do handle decent considering the limitations.

After looking around it seems a 1 16 would be a better way to go, most events I see on youtube and in general are 16 scale. I have never had a tank before. I usually fly helicopters. When I saw the tank I instantly had to have one. If you could excuse my lack of knowlegde.

RE: 1:9 Abrams
I have one sitting in a box in my basement. I picked it up thinking i was going to modify it but I have way too many projects on the go. Its a BIG tank and would probably cost just as much to ship as it would the tank. PM me if you are interested.

At the moment only Benedini has the Abrams sound, may be El-mod also. The first is very expensive, The second syustem is just that. A complete system and in my opinion the one you would want if you where to get this 1:9 th scale tank. But as you have said most people use 1:16th scale. it has the largest selection of tanks and parts. there are basically 3 more scales. 1:8th, 1:6th and 1:4th. they get hugely more expensive as you go up in scale. Some as high as 7 or 8 THOUSAND dollars.
So economically 1:16th scale would be your best bet. But if I where to get the chance to get that 1:9th scale Abrams I would and throw in a complete El-Mod system just for fun.
