Default Jett SS .40 426 motor

I got a new motor and want to swap the venturi out for a barrel carb.

Having a heck of a time getting the bolt / nipple out. Nut comes off, nipple comes off, but can't get the main bolt out...

Any ideas? Tried Dub today, but got his machine.

Hi Dave
The Jett is different than the Nelson, take nut off and take the venturi out. The bolt will now come out.

8.8X8.75 or on a very warm day try 8.8X8.5. Want your ground RPM's high 18,000 to low 19,000.

We have to run the carb for our rules. I was wondering if anyone is having adverse (air leak) issues with no o-ring or gasket material under the carb? I noticed there wasn't one under the venturi either - just relying on the fit?

The fuel actually comes in under the carb. The carb is really just an air valve allowing the engine to be choked off to kill. Don't think that no air seal around the carb or venturi is an issue at all
