Check all your soldering connections, make sure none are loose, or cold solder joints. If they are all fine then unfortunately there is probably something wrong with the esc. I have the 120a version with the tacon 2000kv and there isnt much cogging at all and it flys!!

do you have another battery to test with? i had a similar issue - but it only happened with one of my batts. when tested under load (get a volt meter that can apply a load during testing) - the voltage drop was unacceptable. all my other lipos - ran well. that problem batt got chucked. no puffing or anything - just wouldn't hold under load.

was just a ****ty hobby king esc
Hobbyking is the worst company ever to deal with!! after a month of fighting i got my money back then was banned from the site
i advise anyone to stay far away from them

i've ordered from them in the past, and the parts were fine.. but it took me like 3 months to get them LOL. for that alone, i usually shop elsewhere.
