Ideas on prop choices?? I currently have P275, X670, and 6717/3.
Thanks

Try them all and see what the boat likes. It might not like any of them. I'm kind of a fan of the 6717/3 myself but haven't tried it on a mono hull yet but that's one that's advised to try on my new mono but not all 6717/3's are the same. Some have more or less pitch and/or rake on them.

RE: New motor for BJ55
Bring plenty of fuel for the retrieve boat.
Roger and I have both had extremely overpowered Blackjacks that ran near 55-60 mph but quite honestly they are overpowered stock. The hull has very bad high speed handling charcteristics mainly do to the lift designed to get the hull up and attain decent speeds stock. Blowovers and rollovers is something the Blackjack does well stock add horsepower and they can get unmanagable. High speed straight line blasts and easy round the corner at half speed
is about what it amounts to.
I put a lot of money in mine but quite honestly it was not a lot of fun as it is upside down more than right side up. Save a couple bucks and get a hull designed for modern HP engines and you will have the time of your life once again able to go out and run any course at near full speed for a full tank of fuel and actually bring it back in under it's own power.
Best of luck. Be safe with that monster your creating. Hope she really skedaddles, how could it not. Lol.

RE: New motor for BJ55
I did change the fuel tank. I got an enforcer tank from WHH and mounted it forward of the engine. I created a mount that can move the tank forward and aft 6 inches. Should keep the nose down a bit...until she gets lite on fuel.
Never had a blow over yet...M5/WHH upgrade, 257 carb, stock pipe, and 6713/3. 47.5 top speed on this setup. Rolled a few times....
Already thinking of a new hull. Just needed an excuse to get one.
