I am happy with nimh too, because i dont have an esc with a lvc and the external ones are expensive.
I run the stock evader ext esc and it has a giant heatsink attatched to it.

i might go with lipo in the future, but right now, i don't really need to. besides i have a bad habit of leaving my batteries unattended when charging[img][/img]
That is very dangerous. You should never leave an NiMh or NiCd unattended while charging either.

My low voltage alarm cost $6, Very loud and small. Lost it in my tamiya df02 because i didn't secure it so it got caught in the wheel and off it went never to be seen again.

I had 8 nihm packs for my 1/16 scale brushless revo, i got one 3 cell lipo and never even touched my nihms again, instantly bought lipos for my planes and my boats, i even have lipos in my Spektrum Transtmitters "Dx3 and Dx7".
Nihms are for the people who dont wanna spend the money for the switch. But its more than worth it.

id guys. honestly i do love my nimh. last night i just replaced one cell to get back the the 9.6v nimh. modifying to a 9 cell seemed way too complicated. i woul have wires everywhere. for now, im satisfied with my nimh bandit. i do hear a lot about lipo, and i just might switch to lipo at some point. probably after i purchase my first home (which is in the next few months) things just seem more important at the moment and i kno some lipo stuff can be cheap, but it does add up. i would love to try lipo guys, but right now since i already have nimh packs i dont see a need to upgrade yet. i'll do it thought, dont worry lol. christmas isn't too far away
