11x Question
I bought a new 11x about a month ago. When I took it out of the box, the plastic screen cover fell off onto the floor. I called Horizon and they said to send it back and they would replace it. I sent the Tx back and they sent me a new Tx. I've had this one for 2 weeks and the screen cover is coming off. It looks as if the cover dosen't perfectly fit the Tx case. Is there a fix for this? Also, I would assume that JR put an anti-reflective coating onto the screen, so when you wear polarized glasses, he center of the screen looks black. Does JR make a replacement cover that is not polarized?

RE: 11x Question
SJS,
I notice no one has responded to you in over 12 days.
Perhaps it is because we (me and others) are not sure what you are referring to as "plastic screen cover".
Many electronic gear with a screen come with a plastic sheet protecting the screen after assembly to preventdamage to the screen during storage, packaging and shipping.
Is that what you are referring to ?
If so then it is not meant to be permanent. Just be careful to avoid damage (scratching) the screen while in use.

RE: 11x Question
After the manufacturing/shipping film is removed,
Get a few of these, almost totally invisible, extremely durable.
I have serveral in place for a couple of years, still going strong; easy to remove, but I don't why one would do that.
Pre-cut to fit, go on easy and very simple operation.
This is truly a "must have" product for the small expense involved and the protection provided.

Great service, mine arrived within a week.

RE: 11x Question
FLPilot,
Thanks for your posting.
No doubt useful for many.
Hopefully these protectors have better adhesive than the originals.
My JR 7202 and DX7 both have lost their original protecting cover.

RE: 11x Question
I think what SJS is refering to is the clear plastic screen itself, not the film protector . The reason I say this is that I have a new 11x and the plastic screen came off when I went to remove tha battery cover. I just poped it back in place and it has been there since. The fit of the cover is very loose. I was going to call and let JR know but I figure I will wait until flying season is over.

RE: 11x Question
Hothead is correct. It is the lexan plastic screen cover. I used a drop of c/a on the left hand corner to keep it in place. The plastic hazed a bit I the corner but it dosen't block the screen. It seems as if the fit of the screen cover isn't contoured correctly to the transmitter face. The double stick tape they use to adhere the cover is paper thin and dosen't hold. As to the glare on the screen with sunglasses, I ordered a screen protector for the 11x. Well see how that works.
