Has anyone experience with these guys?
Iordered some small parts on 26 May and got a fairly quick confirmation as to payment received.
Then heard nothing at all. Emailed them to ask fdor order status last week....got nothing back. Im not exactly out of pocket for a huge amount but would still like to know whats happening.
Has anyone else dealt with tthem?

Yea, I orded some things on the 23 may, havent got it yet. The payment went smooth, but thecommunication via e-mail was a pain...felt like I spammed them to get a response.

Imperiall Modellbau attended Munster at the weekend, they had a large stock of parts so this should not be a problem, drop them an e-mail informing them that you will file a complaint and host discussions on forums they will probably respond instantly.

Hello
As recommended, I sent a Paypal thing and got a quick and positive response.
To be fair...he does mention that the delivery time can be three weeks so Imay have been hasty.
Either way, Igot an answer and an assurance that my notek light is winging its way to me.

Wayne as I said earlier the last weekend Pfingsten is a holiday weekend in Germany , Imperial along with various other company’s and clubs attended the event at Munster, they may have had a few days extra some people take the rest of the week off, however this is no defence for a late delivery and hopefully they will respond soon, some of the delivery’s I have had from the US have taken 3 weeks or more

RE: Imperiall Modellbau
I finaly received my order today, but I was dissapointed to see he lied to me about when it shipped.
My order shipped the day AFTER I opened the PayPal dispute, not the week before as he claimed.
Additionally Iwas charged 35.5 euros for an item that cost 5.50 euros to eventually be shipped to me.....
I can't say that is a glowing example of good buisness practices...no more buisness from me.
I hope others have better luck then I did.

Buck, you guys need to understand the time and exspense involved with buying from European dealers. It is just not worth it. The summers months are generally holidays for nearly all the countries so things slow down over there dramatically. try to buy local. Or at least try WelshDrgagon first.
I know some parts are only available this way but you need to decide, do you really need this peice?

I understand all the complications of buying from Europe, but the retailer also has a responsibility to the consumer.
I always try Phil, Welsh Dragon and RCTank.de before anyone else, but they don't have everything.
Welsh Dragon, RCTank.de are in Europe but they post on the homepage when they are on vacation and keep you updated to the status of your order. Imperial Modelbau did not and when I was finally contacted after opening the dispute he lied about shipping it...bad buisness no matter where you are located. I waited for 2 weeks before I tried contacting him for shipping staus with no response until the Paypal dispute was opened. The fact is that my order was shipped over 3 weeks after payment..and not until after I opened a PayPal dispute.

As to European dealers....this is the first issue Ive had. Ive had no issue with American ones either but parcels from teh states always attract the eyes of the customs and excise men when entering Norway.
Which entails more money (whether or not the item is above the limit for VAT or import duty) and a week more waiting.
PLus...Ionce got the customs forms in the post to fill out while Iwas away, and the customs people returned the package to the states as they hadnt heard from me.
What a pain in the rear....

In response to my paypal case the goods were sent on the 16 of JUne. The tracking number indicates the following:
So it appears that the goods were sent, returned and now Imperiall has them back again!
Which is quite bizarre.
As I checked the order and my address is quite clearly on it.
I guess the saga will continue.

UPdate: seems a code 33 is due to "no export documents". Iguess he forgot to indicate on the sticky label what was in there and the nominal value

Websites are all generic as well........ the only words you need to know are "address"and so on.
Using Google Translate to open the webspages is a bad idea as you can come to grief trying to fill out forms. I usually just open th eoriginal website in one window and the translated one in the other and proceed in tandem filling out th eforms on the original language page.
Plus, English is the new "Lingua Franca" or whatever so most people know someone who can speak it on their end.
Polish websites are a nightmare as Google isnt the best with the language. Russian as well.
Although saying that.....Ihave always found that a polite email works wonders in simple english or even being proactive and writing your email in english and in a google translated version.
Saying that.....this guy has good english so Im getting a bit wazzed off.
Such hassle over a Notek light.......

RE: Imperiall Modellbau
Well, in the message by paypal he edmitted that he forgot about my shipment...regular e-mail seems to have a 20-30% chance to be read by Imperial M.
