First Electric with Lipo.
Hi all,
Ok so I'm an intermediate pilot starting to dabble into 3D. I am very interested in trying a foam FlatOut Cap580 or 300S from great planes. I've never done the electric thing let alone the Lipo thing. I'm just trying to get a "cheap" way to step outside and practice some 3D on a moments notice. I've been reading and reading but I still have some questions. I am looking to at this Lipo and power setup:
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXJTK1&P=0- Plane
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXKBF2&P=0- ESC
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXNYH8&P=SM- Battery
I am at a loss at what kind of basic charger I need. I have also read that I need to balance the battery. Knowing that I'm not trying to get too in depth wit this stuff, what's the best charger/balancer combo out there for the price? I just need basic. Also It looks like there are 10 different kinds of plugs for this stuff so I'm confused on what adapters aI would need.
Is it possible to run the Flat Outs on NiCDs or NiMH like this one? It's an ounce heaver than the rcommended weight. Is that a massive issue?

I already have the charger for these types of batteries and would save me a lot of money. Thanks for the help!
