Default RE: 2010-2011 Winter Building Projects

Yesterday we had a success race with 30 racers, and we had to stop the race two times only for a few minutes, due a small shower. I would like to thank you all that believe that we could fly and race yesterday, a special thanks for all the pilots from Nevada, bay area and Redding.
The SacTown SmackDown race's pictures are available on the link below.

A month from now we will have another race and WE WILL RACE AGAIN, with the sun shining or between the lightning storm.

Thank you all.

Marcelo.

I wanted to race for sure, but the gamble of rain was too rich for me. Keep that table warm for me in June, I will be there to make up some lost points..

P.S. My salsa will beat Tommy's any day of the week.

For sure. If you will be at the races I can get it from you then. Just let me know how much you want for your blood, sweat, and tears.

Well, work continues. Finalizing the cockpit. Quick Question: What adhesive works best to adhere a canopy to a fuselage. Any suggestions out there?

Thanks. Is this only found at hobby stores, or can I pick it up at my local hardware store?

LHS, Tower hobbies, or Central hobbys. You can also use E 6000 sealent. I think they have it a Home Depot but I like RC 56 better.

Jake,
Ditto on the RC 56. I keep mine in the fridge until ready to use. When chilled it's thicker.

Well the Dora is all done. Here is the last video updates. The first one is just a final show of the bird, requested by Sergio. The second is a video of the motor up and running. Now all that is left is the Maiden!!![X(][X(][X(]

Roy, I doubt there is one person at that field that would confirm that they are even an acquaintance, let alone a friend of yours.

This plane has been my personal project for multiple years now. Ask T-Gun, he was there when I got the thing years ago. I need to see the thing to the end so I will get this butcher bird off the ground myself. Of course it never hurts to have some of the pros to do a once over to make sure everything looks on the up and up...know anybody that would fall under that title?

Sure thing. You know it would probably look really slick in the air with a TA152 flying shotgun with it in the air .

I think you could twist Tommy's arm on this. He's not that much of a fan of Luftwaffe birds, but I think enough sweet talking could get him to commit.
