Default Question for Ultra Bandit owners

I am finishing up my UB, and it looks sweet!

I am wondering what the consensus is on using any retrictors in the air system?

My BV supplies air system came with restrictors but there was no recommended location for them (all/some etc)

I do plan to put one for certain on the nose door, that thing could take a finger off.

Thanks
Dave

Dave,

Personal choice. I ran mine with and without. Without at first, but I wanted a little more "scale" look, so I put one on. About the only thing it does is slow it down a little for the "look", rather than "appearing" and disappearing."

Dave

Other than the nose gear door I can't see any advantage in using the restrictors on the Ultra Bandit.

Thanks guys,

With my retract servo slowed down for the button door closure, the gear really dont slam much so I will porbably not put them in for now -excpet for that nose door!

thanks for the feedback.

Will get some pictures up soon...

Thanks
Dave

Nope, no restrictors here.

I have the Dreamworks uber everything electronic gizmo on mine. I like my gear to definitively go up AND down.

I don't use any resrictors either, and I set my servo speed JR 12X Code 24 at 3.29 UP and DOWN.
The air pressure is metered fairly slowly through the valve, and the gear doesn't slam into the wells when retracting.

Nice, Dave!

They are big airplanes and a blast to fly. Enjoy! Post some pics of maiden day!

so you guys are just using the servo slow function to slow the gear servo/valve combo down to slow the gear transit time? Interesting.. never have thought of trying that.

I use the Dreamworks / AirPower all in one EV5u_Pro, so servo speed is irrelevant.

I used the restrictor for the door. It makes door closing / opening a lot smoother.
