All registered up! So it looks like I will be making another batch of my world famous "Tommy Slappin" Salsa. I will be there on Saturday (earlier this time), to maiden the Dora and enjoy the summer evening with yall.
Is there anyone going to R/C country between now and then? I need some small parts and if someone would be willing to pick them up, you sure would be helping me out. Thanks!

Call RC Country and speak to Joe.
Tell him what you need and that
Tom will pick it up for you.
I'll arrange for Tom to pick it all up for you.

Talked to Joe and he is going to hold them for me. At first I said Roy was going to arrange to have them picked up, but then it got silent on the phone and Joe said Roy was no longer welcome into the store since "the incident." Needless to say Joe would not go into details about "the incident", but acknowledged that he was given authority to contact animal control if Roy was found on the premise, including the parking lot. All I can say is that I am not surprised..... Thank God Tommy is picking them up or I might have been somehow implicated in some situation that would have been hard to explain to the proper authorities.

TommyGun would probably know, beings he helps out there from time to time. If he, orsomeone who knows, doesn't respond sooner, Ican check for you next time I am down there in the next couple of days. (Both of my planes have low-speed needles with "floating" settings, so I need to get new O-rings. At least that is my best guess at what the cause of this phenomenon would be.) If they do have Enya plugs, do you want me to pick some up for you? If so, how many; and what specific type/model number?

RE: Sacramento Area Modelers Tres Amigos Warbird Race July 24th
An update to all who are interested for the tres amigos aka "campi's wife classic"
1. We will be matrixing and posting for the 2 races before lunch...then during lunch we will matrix the 3 race, in this way any plane switch, or drop outs (BATTY) will be done without a fire drill.
2. I will open the snack bar for lunch after the last heat in Bronze during the 2nd race. In this way lunch will be served during silver and gold heats, and as silver and gold flyers finish up they can break for lunch
I am trying to eliminate 35 people standing in line, and putting a huge crunch on the snack bar workers as well as valuable time the racers need to go over there planes during the break!
3. After the last gold heat of the second race...you will have 30 minutes!!!
4. The starter helper will be given a lap counter to backup the starter in case of a dispute on finish position or laps flown.
5. PARTY SATURDAY NIGHT. Serg is buying, cooking, serving, and cleaning up FOR ALL!!!!

I'm going tomorrow. If they have them, I need to know the answers to the above questions before I go, IF you want me to save you a possible trip, anyway.

Ollie, thanks Bud but Trixie and I decided to leave San Jose a little earlier on Sat morn so we can stop there before getting to the field. I need some fuel and I saw they stock Klass Koat paints so I will no doubt be spending all of Trixies dance money.

Thought you'd rather see pictures sooner, rather than later. Unfortunately, my planes fought me HARD all weekend, so I was a little too busy to take as many pictures as I had planned. I am in the process of uploading the web album onto Picasa, but this too is fighting me. So, while I wait, here'ssome toserve as anappetizer . . .

Back to the racing action:
(However, I think that Picasa keeps losing the connection, because I am online on this thread, too. So, I will have to sign off, and try again, later.)

Having trouble accessing your page from Roy's link, Tom. But apparently, it is just my "Murphey's Law (With a VENGENCE)" continuing to haunt me well beyond this weekend andnot just withmy planes! TeddyBear called and says the link works for him. I am having to upload my 219 photos onto Picasa independently, one at a time, but will eventually get a link to mine as well.

OK, that was a pain, but the album is uploaded. You can follow thelink, below.
I had 4 or 5 that just plainly would NOT upload, no matter what I did. A couple are deleted and areforever lost. Thesetwo are a couplethat I can share here, in this manner, but had to delete out of my Picasa album, for the rest of it to upload:

Freakin Roy,
Stay outta my photo site!
Here is the link to the images I have uploaded so far. https://picasaweb.google.com/komepu/20110724
I think the raptor in the first series of images was a good omen for me and my Butcher bird!
He was feeding on a squirrel as we started the morning test flights and he was just under the path of planes landing on short final.
He would stop to take a look at the planes as if he was protecting his meal.

Thanks Tommy. That link worked for me, and corrected whatever problems I was having accessing them from Roy's link.
Great pictures of the hawk! Thanks for getting a couple shots of my plane in there, too.

RE: Sacramento Area Modelers Tres Amigos Warbird Race July 24th
What a fun race and pregame party! It looks like for the last race of the season I am going to have to make a triple batch of the salsa. That stuff goes as fast as Ollie's Cowabunga Juice. I hope the race Gods got their quotta on sacrificial lambs for the rest of the season because there were a lot of birds placed on the chopping block. OUCH []!!! At least with the August break that gives some racers time to lick their wounds and get another plane ready to compete. It will be interesting to see the point totals going into the September race. I think I may have put a little more of a dent in Steve's overall point total to give myself a fighting chance going into the 2 day race. Some really great shots of the race guys. Congrats on the Top Dog in Gold Tommy!
